Sometimes you have a macbook with backlight / screen issues but when you close the screen slowly before its really closed you will see image. That indicates that the flexcable of the screen has a small tear in it. You can take the whole lcd unit of the screen and change the flexcable or you can jump the cable. The reason why we jump the flexcable is for 2 reasons:
1 : The cable can be made a little bit longer so the problem cannot come back later
2: We dont have to take the screen of so the screen cannot be damaged
